Intern at a National Lab (You need to apply this week!)

The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of 17 participating DOE laboratories/facilities. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting the DOE mission. As part of the experience you may even have the opportunity to co-author a paper or conference presentation.Compensation is standardized across the laboratories with the exception of housing.  Some labs offer housing while others offer a housing allowance for you to secure your own housing.  Students receive $500 per week for a 10-week summer internship (June 1 – August 7).  If housing is not provided, interns receive an additional $125 per week for housing.  A maximum of $500 in travel is also available for mileage reimbursement or airfare depending on the lab location.
