Staying on campus and conducting research in the summer alongside a faculty member is a great complement to your classroom experience. Here’s what one student said about their summer experience: “Undergraduate research has given me a community I belong to. It’s been an invaluable experience. I know so much more about my classes. I have more people as resources, and it makes me work harder.”
The Office of Undergraduate Research funds a summer internship program to promote research and creative activity among undergraduate students. Current full-time undergraduate students enrolled at the Knoxville campus are eligible to apply. Students graduating in May or August 2015 are not eligible.
The deadline to apply is February 13, 2015. For more information visit the Undergraduate Summer Research Internships page.
