Semester and summer funding is available for faculty who are interested in guiding students in undergraduate research either in the context of a research cohort or through one-on-one mentorship.
Faculty Research Assistants Funding
Faculty can apply for funding from our office that supports research assistants during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Summer Undergraduate Research Internships
Students can apply for funding from our office to work as a research assistant with UT faculty during the summer.
Federal Work Study Research Assistantships
Our office has coordinated with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in order to allow students to use their federal work-study funds for positions as undergraduate research assistants for faculty at UT.
Summer SURGE Program
An eight-week summer research experience designed to engage freshmen and sophomore students in faculty mentored research during the summer months.
NSF REU Site Grant
Our office provides proposal support for the NSF REU Site grant, a 3-year grant that funds a 10-week summer research experience for undergraduates from UT and across the nation.
