Get Started

If you’re still thinking about how you want to engage in research in your undergraduate years, these resources are a great start. Once you get started with these, then you’ll be ready to find opportunities and dive in head first.

Getting Started Seminars

If you are completely new to undergraduate research, we recommend you attend one of our Getting Started Seminars. These weekly seminars go over what research is and how you can get involved. If you can’t make the times for the seminars, contact us and set up a one-on-one appointment with one of our in-office peer mentors.

Undergraduate Research Students’ Association (URSA)

Join the Undergraduate Research Students’ Association and see what’s happening in undergraduate research at UT. URSA is committed to expanding access to undergraduate research at UT and holds several research-related activities throughout the academic year.

Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Membership

CUR is a national organization that is committed to all things undergraduate research. Register as an undergraduate researcher with CUR and receive access to research opportunities, forums, and other useful tools for advancing your career in research.
