COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONFERENCE HOUSING AGREEMENT ADDENDUM

This COVID-19 Pandemic Conference Housing Agreement Addendum is part of the Summer Conference Terms and Conditions, and is designed to inform the Guest of expectations when staying overnight in housing provided by the Department during Summer 2021.
As you are aware, we are currently experiencing a global pandemic due to the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, and circumstances are constantly changing. As such, the University is not able to accurately predict what the conditions will be like during Summer 2021, and what precautions the University may have to implement in on-campus residence halls to react to the changing circumstances. Participants should be aware that the University cannot guarantee the residence hall will be free of coronavirus. Participants will be living with other participants who could contract the virus and will be sharing common areas which may include laundry facility, common rooms, etc. The participant understands and agrees that the University needs the flexibility to implement whatever procedures it deems appropriate to minimize the risks posed by coronavirus. To the extent the terms in this addendum are different than the Summer Conference Terms and Conditions, the terms of this addendum shall apply.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
While the University cannot predict every situation that a participant may encounter living in a residence hall, participants should adhere to the following expectations:

1. Participants must wear appropriate face covering in all common areas outside of their individual room when in the residence hall.
2. Participants should practice social distancing in common areas inside residence halls when possible. Participants are expected to adhere to occupancy limits in common areas, including lounges, kitchens, and meeting/study rooms.
3. If a participant experiences COVID-19 symptoms, the participant should stay in their assigned room, limit contact with others, contact health care provider, and notify their REU leader.

BY ACCEPTING MY HOUSING, I HAVE READ THIS COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONFERENCE HOUSING AGREEMENT ADDENDUM. I ACKNOWLEDGE THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH LIVING IN A RESIDENCE HALL. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE UNIVERSITY NEEDS THE FLEXIBILITY TO IMPLEMENT WHATEVER PROCEDURES IT DEEMS TO BE NECESSARY TO REDUCE THE RISKS POSED BY CORONAVIRUS, AND WILL ENSURE PARTICIPANTS ABIDE BY WHATEVER PROCEDURES THE UNIVERSITY DEEMS TO BE NECESSARY.
